Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Elwood, IL. You will patrol industrial locations, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service while upholding company values.

Position is full time with scheduled evening shifts (Thu-Sun 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM). Responsibilities include access control, incident response, and routine rounds across site areas. Must pass background check and drug screen, with licensing as required by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws; driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the industrial distribution location, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and access points.
• Monitor access, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain visitor/incident records.
• Observe and report unusual activity, unsecured doors, damaged property, or security concerns to deter unauthorized access and loss.

Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Elwood, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will conduct routine rounds, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the industrial distribution location, including the building exterior, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and designated access points.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required visitor and incident documentation.
• Observe and report unusual activity, unsecured doors, damaged property, or other security-related concerns to help deter unauthorized access and loss.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
