Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Santa Rosa, CA to protect patients, visitors and staff. You will patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and follow healthcare facility policies with professionalism.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in security, a HS diploma, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. A background check and drug screen are required, and licensing may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and facility concerns.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and communicate information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
