Job summary

Allied Universal in Menlo Park, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to protect patients, employees and visitors in a healthcare setting. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering courteous customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.

Responsibilities

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.16 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and vendor authorization as directed by site policies, and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city-issued security-related license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
