Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a hospital location in Ventura, CA. This part-time role offers day shifts and a pay rate of $23.00 per hour.

You will provide courteous security services, patrol duties, access control, and clear incident reporting within a healthcare setting. The position requires at least 1 year of security experience, hospital vaccination compliance, and the ability to operate in an environment including morgue facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, restricted-area access, and compliance with facility procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to supervisors and facility personnel.
