Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology location while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report observations following emergency protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate security-related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Support in Milpitas, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document observations. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and manufacturing location while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery activity as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols and promptly reporting observations.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate security‑related concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
