Allied Universal Milpitas, CA, is seeking a full-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) to protect clients across tech and telecom sites. You will patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents, and complete detailed shift reports while delivering strong customer service in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including office areas, production spaces, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site-specific access control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including office areas, production spaces, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site-specific access control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
