Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Certified in Sandston, VA. You will monitor access points, perform routine patrols, verify credentials, and provide superior customer service in a tech-centric environment.

Role requires CPR/First Aid certifications (preferred), one year of security experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. You will work a full-time schedule with day and night shifts and potential licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Guard card or applicable license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, support badge and credential verification procedures, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
