Job summary

Allied Universal in Memphis, TN is seeking a full-time unarmed Security Guard for Emergency Patrol. Pay rate is $17.42 per hour, with night shifts from Monday to Sunday as listed in the posting.

This role includes patient, visitor, staff, and vendor customer service, incident response, and regular patrols across the healthcare facility to maintain a safe environment. You'll monitor access points, assist with visitor management, and prepare incident reports for supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with facility policies, helping to maintain an orderly environment for patients and staff.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site personnel.

• Fri 11:45 PM - 08:15 AM
• Sat 11:45 PM - 08:15 AM
• Sun 11:45 PM - 08:15 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
