Job summary

Allied Universal in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Security Guard for full-time patrol operations. You will carry out unarmed patrols, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.

Minimum requirements include at least two years of security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. CPR is preferred and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and campus stakeholders by following security procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or policy violations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with responders and leadership.
• Prepare clear reports and activity logs of patrols and incidents.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and media or technology campus stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, exterior grounds, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity; report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance or security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
