Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Full Time Mall Patrol to join our team at a busy Bethesda mall. You will deliver customer service, observe security procedures, and respond to incidents with professionalism and teamwork.

Requirements include at least 6 months of security experience, a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Day and evening shifts available; pay is $21 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and employees by following site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and concerns calmly, coordinating with site personnel and responders as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of common areas, corridors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Complete accurate reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site management.

As a Security Guard Full Time Mall Patrol related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, retail corridors, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site management, and/or law enforcement as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
