Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time Security Officer to support a manufacturing location. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors and contractors, monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate logs. You’ll patrol buildings and respond to incidents following site procedures.

A valid driver’s license is required; alarm panel, access control and badge experience are preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background check and drug screening may apply.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state or locality.
• Driver’s license required only for driving positions.

Pay Rate: $17.08 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and documentation for the manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
