Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Patrol in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a retail and mall location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail tenants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, common areas, and exterior locations for unusual activity and report observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
