As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $29.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a government water and wastewater utility location while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, and maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
