Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part‑time Security Officer Enhanced – Armed Patrol Driver in Washington, DC. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to gain additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will support security operations at transportation facilities and help ensure passenger, employee, and visitor safety. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ for armed roles, and the ability to pass background and drug screening.

• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site‑specific security procedures and emergency response activities at transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, rail‑adjacent areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with appropriate emergency personnel and law enforcement as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Maintain required reports, incident documentation, and communications per site procedures and Allied Universal policies.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
