• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas and perimeter.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify visitor access per site procedures, and maintain records.
• Communicate daily activities and incidents with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology and media location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access according to site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident records.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, unusual conditions, and security‑related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
