Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coordination in Washington, DC to provide reliable security services at a media and technology location. This flexible, part-time role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, increasing earnings while gaining hands-on experience.

Pay is $21.53 per hour with day-time schedule from 5:30 PM to 12:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a media and technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, production areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site requirements.
• Support a professional environment by maintaining awareness of activity throughout the location and communicating clearly with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Coordination in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun05:30 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
