Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Site Awareness in Forest Park, IL. The role focuses on keeping tenants and visitors safe, delivering customer service, and maintaining a visible security presence at a retail/mall location.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and other designated locations; observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and documenting observations and actions taken.
• Maintain clear communication with property management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
