Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Chicago, IL. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Part Time.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property including common areas, parking, exteriors, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity as per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Help deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and reporting issues.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the residential property, including common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and resident activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
