Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol Readiness Security Officer in Coral Gables, FL. This role offers reliable fixed shifts with optional extra shifts via our scheduling platform, allowing you to earn more while gaining diverse site experience.

Pay rate is $27.01 per hour. The position supports part-time scheduling with potential progression toward a full-time schedule, and includes paid training and benefits upon eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum three or more years of military police, corrections officer, armed security-related, or certified law enforcement graduate experience.
• Armed guard card or license; license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations following established protocols.
• Conduct armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Maintain daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate with dispatch and law enforcement.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned transit locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with dispatch, law enforcement, emergency responders, and site representatives as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of military police, corrections officer, armed security-related, or certified law enforcement graduate experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
