Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. The position offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Responsibilities include customer service at the retail site, armed patrols, incident response, and accurate reporting. Required: 3+ years law enforcement/military or 5+ years armed security, Texas Level III Armed

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail location customers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures.
• Carry authorized firearm and other assigned equipment per laws and site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular armed patrols to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Document observations and reports to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Response in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to retail location customers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Carry authorized firearm and other assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and policy violations accurately; complete required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
