Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Mobility. This role offers flexible, reliable hours at an assigned site, with the potential to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You must hold a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, be at least 21, have a high school diploma, and pass background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular armed patrols across retail locations, parking/loading areas, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior and hazards per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports and maintain professional presence.

A Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Driver Mobility in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required communications while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
