Allied Universal in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Security Guard Campus Ambassador to serve students, faculty, staff, and visitors while providing exceptional customer service and enforcing campus policies. This role operates on a full-time night schedule with Mon–Thu shifts and pays $20.69 per hour.

The position emphasizes unarmed patrols, access monitoring, incident reporting, and professional communication with campus personnel and emergency responders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following campus protocols.
• Conduct regular/unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, report unusual conditions and violations through reporting channels.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate with campus personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Pay Rate: $20.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 07:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 07:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 07:30 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations through established reporting channels.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
