Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions or hazards through established channels.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate with campus personnel, law enforcement, and responders as appropriate.

As a Security Guard Campus Ambassador in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations through established reporting channels.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
