Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Guard in Los Angeles, CA to monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide exceptional customer service, and deter incidents with a visible presence. You will report security concerns, follow site procedures, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

This full-time role requires a guard card or license (preferred), ability to use a computer, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as per laws.
• Qualified applications with criminal histories considered as permitted by law.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and promptly.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, production personnel, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, production areas, common areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
