This flexible schedule includes daytime evenings on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Minimum requirements include at least one year security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Verification in Northlake, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet tools as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout distribution and retail support areas, including building exteriors, perimeter areas, parking locations, docks, and access points.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized activity or property loss.
• Observe and report security-related hazards, unusual conditions, and policy violations; support orderly operations during deliveries, shift changes, and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
