Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC. You will provide customer service, deter incidents with regular armed patrols, and respond to emergencies while upholding our values of integrity and teamwork.

Position is full-time with pay rate of $21.50 per hour. A valid driver's license and armed guard card are preferred; candidates must be 21+ and able to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Customer service to facility personnel, visitors, and residents.
• Regular and random armed patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting/escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization per site requirements.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment per laws and policy.

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, deliveries, and movement within restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policy, and site-specific procedures.

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Spruce Pine, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a controlled environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver professional customer service, clear communication, and responsive assistance while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

• Sat: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
