As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations, and provide professional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, maintaining awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
