Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations; observe and report unusual conditions, hazards, and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agency partners as required.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry; assist with directing visitors and maintaining orderly access to facilities.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, documenting incidents, observations, patrols, and actions taken.

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:00 PM – 07:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM – 07:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM – 06:30 PM
• Sat: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
• Sun: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations; observe and report unusual conditions, hazards, and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agency partners as required.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing visitors and maintaining orderly access to facilities.
• Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, documenting incidents, observations, patrols, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
