Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a full-time security officer at a logistics and distribution site in Houston. You will provide customer service, perform security procedures, and respond to incidents and emergencies per site policy.

Responsibilities include patrolling grounds, monitoring access, and documenting activities for leadership. Must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), with a high school diploma and background check.

• Wed: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 07:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 07:00 PM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, loading areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe the movement of personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
