Job summary

Allied Universal in Lillington, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to provide armed security and customer service at a government location. You will conduct patrols, verify credentials, and respond to incidents to deter risks while maintaining a professional presence.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, is 21+ for armed positions, and includes a flexible schedule with the ability to claim shifts through our platform.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or individuals at a government location by carrying out armed security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or individuals at a government corrections location by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
