Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Butner, NC. You will patrol government facilities by vehicle and on foot, deter incidents, and maintain a professional presence while delivering excellent customer service to staff and visitors.

You must have a valid driver’s license, be 21 or older for armed roles, and complete required security training. This role offers flexible scheduling and advancement opportunities within Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related responsibilities within a government corrections environment.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, entrances, and/or parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, and movement through assigned areas; document visitor activity, incidents, and observations in required reports.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and perform duties in accordance with applicable laws, policies, training, and Allied Universal procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sat 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
