Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts and advance toward full-time roles.

Pay is $25.21 per hour with anchor shifts and additional shifts available through our scheduling platform. The role emphasizes customer service, access control, and a strong safety mindset within a high-availability data-center environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points and verify credentials to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, documented observations and notifications.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications with professionalism.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol in Sparks, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, perimeter, and critical infrastructure areas, reporting unusual conditions and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence in a high-availability technology environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
