Qualifications

• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate access records. You will provide visible support, communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and drivers, and help identify and report security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles according to site procedures.
• Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, exits, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or unauthorized access.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
