Job summary

COFORGE is seeking an experienced security monitor to oversee the entry/exit of persons and vehicles at our facility. The role requires staying vigilant, logging events, and coordinating with emergency personnel when needed.

The ideal candidate holds a HS diploma or GED, with 2+ years in security, and possesses CPR/de-escalation training. A valid driver's license is preferred; first aid may be required. Benefits accompany this full-time position.

Qualifications

• Professional and courteous demeanor is essential.
• Basic computer skills for emails and charting are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering or leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books as required.
• Direct emergency personnel and manage traffic flow during emergencies.
• Communicate admissions, visits and deliveries to staff.
• Monitor parking and lobby areas; perform sweeps of the facility.
• Interact with staff and patients professionally at all times.
• Report suspicious behavior to leadership.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
