Job summary

Westrock Coffee Company seeks a Security Guard to protect assets, personnel, customers, vendors, and property. The role reports to the Safety Business Partner and requires vigilant patrols, strict access control, and timely incident response.

Qualifications

• Registered security officer with valid credentials.
• Must pass armed security certification.
• Experience in law enforcement, security, or military preferred.
• Ability to work calmly under duress.
• First aid, CPR/BLS and self-defense training.
• Clear criminal record and ability to pass a drug test; AR handgun license.
• Able to work overnight, weekends and holidays; independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and secure assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.
• Maintain a visible presence and greet staff, guests, and vendors.
• Respond to distress calls, alarms, and incidents swiftly and appropriately.
• Patrol property on foot; secure perimeter in all weather conditions.
• Control and monitor surveillance equipment; inspect buildings and equipment.
• Guard access points; manage entry and direct heavy traffic at shift times.
• Complete daily reports with observations and signatures.

Job description

The Security Guard will be responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and other people and property on our grounds. This position reports to the Safety Business Partner.

Job Duties:

• Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control
• Be always visible and observant, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
• Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately
• Patrol property on foot, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditions
• Control and monitor surveillance equipment, and perform building and equipment inspections
• Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during shift start times and end of shift times
• Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage and signatures
