Job summary

Belmont Behavioral Health System is seeking a reliable Security Guard to monitor all persons and vehicles entering or leaving the facility. The role includes logging, directing emergencies, coordinating with staff, and maintaining order in the lobby and parking areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 2+ years in security, corrections, or military, and holds a valid driver's license. CPR certification and de-escalation training are required (training provided).

Qualifications

• Two or more years' experience in security, corrections or military.

Responsibilities

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel during emergencies and maintain flow of traffic.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring all persons and/or vehicles entering or leaving facility property.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
