Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities in Matthews, NC, is seeking a Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of the community. The role involves patrolling buildings, monitoring the gatehouse, and providing support to residents and team members during evening and night hours. Candidates need a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and must be able to obtain CPR and Security Guard Certification within a set period. A comprehensive benefits package is included.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Guard Certification if employed in the state of Maryland.
• CPR, AED, & first aid certification must be obtained within the introductory period.
• Prior security and/or emergency response experience preferred.

Overview

Under minimal direct supervision, this role ensures the security and safety of the community by patrolling the buildings and grounds and monitoring the gatehouse. Provides support during the evening and night hours for residents and team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior security and/or emergency response experience is preferred
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Guard Certification, if employed in the state of Maryland (or obtain within the 3-month introductory period)
• CPR, AED, & first aid certification (or obtain within the 3-month introductory period)
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Pay Range

$16.43 - $19.91 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
