Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities is seeking a Security Guard at Cokesbury Village to safeguard residents, staff, visitors, and property. You will conduct proactive patrols, monitor security cameras, control access, and oversee life-safety systems to deter misconduct.

The role requires responding promptly to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and incidents while maintaining a visible, reassuring presence in the community.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior security, law enforcement, emergency services, or related experience preferred.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must have CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications or obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of residents, team members, visitors, and property through proactive patrols and monitoring.
• Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents promptly.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter misconduct and promote a safe environment.
• Operate life-safety systems and manage access control as required.

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Security Guard position.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, team members, visitors, and property through proactive patrols, monitoring security cameras, access control, and other life-safety systems. Responds promptly to medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security incidents while maintaining a visible presence to deter misconduct and proactively promote a safe and secure environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, emergency services, or a related field (preferred)
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Must possess and maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (or obtain within three months of employment)
