Job summary

A leading retirement community in Chestertown is seeking a part-time Security Guard to ensure safety and security by patrolling the premises. Applicants should have a high school diploma, prior security experience is preferred, and must obtain Maryland Security Guard Certification. Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Security Guard position.

Under minimal direct supervision, this role ensures the security and safety of the community by patrolling the buildings and grounds and monitoring the gatehouse. Provides support during the evening and night hours for residents and team members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior security and/or emergency response experience is preferred
• CPR, AED, & first aid certification (certification can either be completed prior to employment or within the 3-month introductory period)
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Must pass a background investigation with no criminal convictions
• Have basic computer skills, including data entry and retrieval
• Must possess a valid Maryland Security Guard Certification upon hire or begin the certification process through the required training. You are required to submit all necessary documentation and complete all required training within three months of your start date. If certification is not obtained within this period or if certification is rejected by the Maryland State Police Licensing, employment will terminate immediately

Pay Range

$17.00 - $24.83 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
