Job summary

Grand Canyon University Inc. in Phoenix seeks an experienced IT security professional to protect systems, networks, and information assets. You will manage key security technologies, support secure remote access, and research security solutions to strengthen defenses.

You will mentor teammates, contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery, and collaborate with IT colleagues to embed security best practices in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
• 3 years’ experience as a system or network administrator.
• Minimum of at least one year in a network engineering role.
• Experience with or substantial knowledge in core internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP).

Responsibilities

• Manages workstation antivirus software and servers.
• Manages and actively administers spam filtering on the email firewall.
• Manages and supports remote access for Cisco VPN issues.
• Researches, designs and proposes security-focused solutions.
• Consult with other team members to ensure security awareness is considered in day to day operations.
• Assist in developing and implementing a business continuity and disaster recovery plan.
• Mentors less experienced team members.
