Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a System Administrator 1 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in Phoenix.

The role focuses on monitoring, maintaining, and testing physical access control, CCTV, PSIM, and related IT systems to support end-user operations and incident response. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree with 0+ years or a HS diploma with 6+ years, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with Windows, STIGs, and security applications.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent with 0+ years of progressive experience, or HS Diploma with 6+ years of progressive experience.
• Experience performing triage on system problems and resolving issues.
• Familiar with Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic networking knowledge (VLANS and routing).
• Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours; ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and test Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM and other IT systems; provide Tier 1 helpdesk support.
• Triage and assist end users in accessing IT systems; triage initial requests and escalate as needed.
• Document troubleshooting steps and manage tickets using an incident tracking system.
• Monitor enterprise system status and notify senior administrators of outages or degraded services.
• Support configuration and management of Windows operating systems; assist with backups, log reviews, and integrity checks.
• Assist in developing SOPs and technical documentation.
