Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to join a hybrid role in Euclid, OH. The role covers security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure security improvements across a Windows/VMware-based server environment.

You will work closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Application and Operations teams to reduce risk and improve posture. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in enterprise server environments, strong Windows Server admin skills, AD/GPO expertise, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information systems, CS, or equivalent experience.
5+ years enterprise server/infrastructure experience.
Strong Windows Server administration and security hardening.
Active Directory, Group Policy, privileged access management.
Vulnerability remediation and security hardening experience.
Patch management tools such as SCCM/MECM or ManageEngine.
VMware-based environment experience.
PowerShell scripting and automation.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication.
Azure or hybrid cloud experience.
Linux administration experience.
Exposure to CIS Benchmarks or security best practices.
Vulnerability management tools exposure.

Responsibilities

Execute server and infrastructure hardening aligned with CIS Benchmarks and security requirements.
Perform vulnerability remediation across Windows Server, Linux, AD, and virtualization.
Collaborate with Cyber Security to prioritize remediation and close findings.
Deploy and maintain secure configurations through standardization and baselines.
Identify and reduce unnecessary services, ports, and privileged access.
Support enterprise patch management for OS and infrastructure apps.
Coordinate remediation with application owners to minimize impact.
Assist with Active Directory security initiatives and tiered administration.
Support remediation from vulnerability assessments and audits.
Contribute to security controls and compliance initiatives.
Work in VMware environments for guest OS hardening and patching.
Develop automation scripts and operational efficiencies with PowerShell.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and procedures.
Participate in incident response for server/infrastructure security events.
