Job summary

MGE Underground, Inc. is seeking a skilled System Administrator to support and enhance our IT infrastructure across California sites. You will handle Tier 2 helpdesk, manage servers, networks, security, and Microsoft 365 services, while collaborating with teams to deliver reliable technology solutions.

Ideal candidates have strong VMware, Active Directory, and network security experience, plus ability to deploy apps and maintain compliance. This is a full-time on-site role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with VMware and virtualization technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (on-premises and hybrid).
• Experience administering Microsoft Servers and SQL Servers in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 (Office 365), including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and licensing management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 support for escalated helpdesk requests and mentor junior IT staff.
• Manage and maintain internal and customer-facing infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and VPN/VLANs.
• Oversee endpoint protection, system monitoring, and network security to ensure compliance with standards.
• Configure, deploy, and manage applications and devices using Intune and other MDMs.
• Design and implement user-friendly technology solutions to meet business needs.
