Doyle Security Systems, Inc. is seeking a versatile security technician to install, service, and support intrusion, fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems in the Dunkirk/Erie region.

The role blends field installation and ongoing service, ideal for a well-rounded technician who thrives in both environments. You will split time between installing new systems and servicing existing ones, with company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in low-voltage security or fire alarm systems, with installation and service exposure.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• OSHA 10 and/or NICET certification a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage both installations and service calls.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and configure electronic security systems including intrusion, fire alarm, video surveillance (CCTV) and live video monitoring systems, access control, and intercom systems
• Run and terminate low-voltage wiring; install devices including keypads, cameras, sensors, panels, and access control hardware
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system issues; reprogram and replace faulty components
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards
• Deliver exceptional customer care on every visit; guide customers through system operation in a clear, professional, and approachable way
• Accurately document all work activity, including photos, and upload records to customer accounts through company systems
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality expectations across a variety of job sites, including commercial and public projects that may be subject to prevailing wage requirements
