Job summary

Reflection seeks a senior MTS Lead of Technology & Security Engineering to architect and operate a security foundation across corporate devices, multi-cloud research infra, and GPU clusters. The role combines executive leadership with hands-on building to protect model weights, data, and capacity while enabling researchers to move fast.

The ideal candidate blends deep technical depth with strategic influence, interfaces with auditors and customers, and negotiates vendor risk.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of deep engineering experience at high-valuation companies or defense-grade environments.
• Leadership in building and operating security engineering functions at scale.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, NIST CSF, audits and reviews.
• Vendor risk, procurement security reviews, and legal contract negotiations.
• Front-line defenses for an AI company, incl. physical security and data center ops.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate security foundation across end-user compute, cloud, and GPU training environments.
• Architect IAM governance, network segmentation, and isolation for scale and sensitivity.
• Implement phishing-resistant zero-trust access with hardware-backed authentication.
• Declarative infrastructure (Terraform/Pulumi) and automated CI/CD for compliance.
• Build telemetry pipelines and detection coverage for security at scale.
• Lead vendor risk assessments and security-related vendor contracts.
• Collaborate across engineering, infra, legal, and physical security.
