Job summary

Cisco is recruiting for a near-career Security Engineer to support applied security research and engineering across AI and ML security. Under guidance, you’ll perform routine security tasks, run tests, and contribute to basic tooling within CI/CD pipelines.

You’ll help teams apply secure development lifecycle practices, conduct threat modeling for AI-native features, and participate in security design reviews and incident response activities.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of security engineering, software development, AI/ML basics.
• Ability to develop and test basic scripts in Python.
• Foundational understanding of security testing and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine security engineering tasks under guidance.
• Support vulnerability assessments, code reviews, validation testing, and hardening activities.
• Contribute to threat models for AI-enabled features and MC P integrations.
• Run defined adversarial tests and document results for review.
