Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a highly technical Security Engineer to join our Public Sector Infrastructure & Security team as a security generalist.

You will design and ship high-precision detections across cloud services and enterprise SaaS, writing production-grade code and building robust automation to detect, contain, and prevent incidents. Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years in Detection Engineering, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Production-grade code experience in one or more languages.
• Experience building and shipping security tooling and automation.
• Hands-on with SIEM/EDR/SOAR and cloud-native security.
• Strong understanding of modern cyber threats and attacker TTPs.
• Familiarity with digital forensics and malware analysis.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, test, and deploy detections across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Build incident response automation and runbooks to shorten containment timelines.
• Mature telemetry pipelines with improved schema design and data quality checks.
• Conduct digital investigations to identify and contain breaches.
• Perform digital forensics and malware analysis of attack vectors.
• Integrate alerting with messaging and ticketing for fast response workflows.
• Collaborate with IT/security/engineering to harden identity and logging.
• Utilize threat intel to improve hunting and detection workflows.
• Explain findings with actionable business impact.
