Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a highly technical Security Engineer to join the Public Sector Infrastructure & Security team as a security generalist.

You will design and ship high-precision detections across cloud services and enterprise SaaS, build durable security systems, and write production-grade code alongside triage work. Collaboration with IT, security, and engineering ensures scalable guardrails and faster response.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance is required and candidates without it will not be considered.
• At least 5+ years in Detection Engineering, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages and production-grade code experience.
• Experience designing or improving detection pipelines and alerting in cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, test, and deploy detection logic across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Build incident response automation, runbooks, and tooling to accelerate containment.
• Mature telemetry pipelines with better schema design and data quality checks.
• Perform digital investigations to identify breaches and containment strategies.
• Communicate findings and remediation steps to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
