Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a highly technical Security Engineer to join our Public Sector Infrastructure & Security team as a security generalist. You will design and ship high-precision detections across cloud services and enterprise SaaS, write production-grade code, and triage alerts with emphasis on durable engineering improvements.

You will collaborate with IT, security, and engineering teams to harden identity, close logging gaps, and implement scalable guardrails, while maturing telemetry

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Detection Engineering, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Production-grade code experience in one or more languages.
• Hands-on design of detection pipelines and alerting in cloud-native environments.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR tools and platform integrations.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, test, and deploy detections across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Build incident response automation and runbooks to speed containment.
• Improve telemetry pipelines with better schemas and enrichment.
• Perform digital investigations, forensics, and threat hunting.
• Present actionable security recommendations to stakeholders.
