Scale AI, Inc. is looking for a Senior Security Engineer focused on Detection and Incident Response. This role combines security operations with software engineering, enabling you to create systems that detect and address security incidents effectively.

You will be responsible for engineering, testing, and deploying security detection logic, while also enhancing automated incident response workflows. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience and strong programming skills, particularly in Python or Go.

The position also offers a competitive salary ranging from $237,600 to $297,000 USD, along with equity and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Detection Engineering, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience in cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong understanding of modern cyber threats and common attack techniques.
• Experience with digital forensics tools and malware analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, test, and deploy detection logic across cloud and enterprise environments.
• Build and maintain incident response automation and tooling.
• Mature telemetry pipelines through improved schema design.
• Perform digital incident investigations and conduct digital forensics.
• Clearly explain incidents' significance and provide actionable recommendations.
